SOPHIE WITTER

Born in Sydney in 1977 and living in Hobart, Tasmania, Sophie Witter is a self-taught artist describing her work as expressive, colourful and varied. She paints a wide range of subject matter, from still life to mermaids using colour, line and pattern to depict notions of domesticity, both real and imagined. She has exhibited Australia wide since 2017 and was a finalist in the 2020 Paddington Art Prize.
